I love talking about philosophy outside of academic settings. I am a member of the KCL Centre for Philosophy and Art, and have spoken about philosophy and art at various galleries, including the National Gallery. I also regularly give talks for secondary school students.
I enjoy writing about philosophy for wider audiences, too. Here are some of the things I’ve written:
- ‘Go Forth and Multiply’, The Times Literary Supplement, 2024
- ‘The Magic of the Mundane‘, Aeon, 2024
- ‘Identity Crisis’, The Times Literary Supplement, 2023
- ‘Context Needed’, Open for Debate, 2022
- ‘The Return of Humpty Dumpty’, Oxford University Press Blog, 2022
- ‘Limits of an Examined Life’, The Times Literary Supplement, 2022
- ‘Death by a Thousand Cat Calls’, Public Ethics Blog, Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace, 2021
- ‘Blame Without Shame‘, The Times Literary Supplement, 2021
- ‘Reading is Fundamental’ (about the act of ‘throwing shade’), in RuPaul’s Drag Race and Philosophy, Open Court, 2019
